Everything about this company is absolutely wonderful. Paula is the sweetest, most informative jewelry buyer I have ever spoken to. She made me feel so comfortable and I can’t thank her enough for that. Shipping my jewelry was much less scary than I thought it would be too. Everything is tracked and insured, plus my package arrived the next morning after I dropped it off. I didn’t even have time to worry!
This company went above and beyond. I spoke with Paula and within minutes she explained to me many things about my diamond that I didn’t know. She was so friendly, yet educated, and answered all my questions without hesitation. I knew they were the real deal, professional and more importantly honest. I will certainly be doing business with them again!
Paula Dabney was so incredibly great to work with. Pleasant, knowledgeable, empathetic, and courteous. She did (exactly) what she said she would. I would not hesitate to use this company again, or recommend to family and friends.

Kansas City, Missouri began as a boat dock on the Missouri River in the 1830’s, and was called Westport Landing. In the 1850’s a group of settlers invested in the area, purchasing land, and changing the name from Westport Landing to the Town of Kansas, after the Kansas Indians. In 1889 the name was changed to the current name, Kansas City. Robert Thompson Van Horn was the Mayor of Kansas City in the mid-1800’s and was very influential in helping the city to grow and prosper. He supported a bill that granted Kansas City the rights to Hannibal Bridge, the first railroad crossing on the Missouri River. The passing of that bill gave Kansas City’s economy a jumpstart and population growth.
In the 1920’s, during the prohibition era, Kansas City was under the control of a popular politician by the name of Tom Pendergast. Pendergast allowed alcohol in Kansas City, encouraging many to move to the area, which helped the city to flourish during prohibition and the Great Depression.
To answer the question “who came first?”, Kansas City Missouri existed before Kansas City, Kansas. Settlements across the Missouri River in Kansas, decided to incorporate parts of their city as Kansas City, Kansas in order to profit off the prospering city in Missouri. Today Kansas City, MO and Kansas City, KS are two separately incorporated cities, but are both part of the greater Kansas City Metropolitan area.
Kansas City, often called KCMO (Kansas City Missouri as opposed to KCK, Kansas City Kansas) has a population of 498,000 people. It’s also known as the City of Fountains, with over 200 working fountains; supposedly the most working fountains in any city in the world. Kansas City claims to be second only to Rome for the most fountains.
Swope Park, located in KCMO, is twice as large as Central Park, and has an open air theatre, a zoo, athletic fields, and one of the largest native species rehabilitation centers in Missouri. Kansas City is also the birthplace of Mickey Mouse. Walt Disney opened his first studio, Laugh-O-Gram Studios, in Kansas City, and Disney’s inspiration for Mickey Mouse was a tame little mouse living in the building.
